House Democrats finally have something to look forward to: Rep. Paul Ryan’s budget.
The Wisconsin Republican and potential 2016 presidential contender is slated to release his budget on Tuesday. The framework could offer Democrats, stung by Obamacare troubles, a chance to pivot to an alternative vision of government that they think will resonate with voters. They hope to counter the steep spending cuts they anticipate will be included in Ryan’s budget with provisions they see as middle-class friendly, such as an expanded Earned Income Tax Credit.
