Pearson, the company that runs Texas’ standardized school tests, accidentally released two test questions before the exams were given last month.
An email was sent on March 28 to people who will score short essays on the English I and English II STAAR tests. It included a link to two actual test questions and sample answers. Such information, in a scoring guide, is routinely given to scorers — but only after the tests are given.
