Tenn. Test Delay Was Probably Error, Not Plot

Woe to Kevin Huffman for stumbling in an election year.

The state education commissioner has never been a crowd pleaser. Just last year, he received a letter from 60 school superintendents throughout the state criticizing his attitude toward teachers' and principals' feedback over evaluations and other reforms. Still, Tennessee's glowing performance on the National Assessment of Educational Progress last year seemed to have calmed the waters somewhat for Huffman and his boss, Gov. Bill Haslam.
