Calif. Schools Chief Race Most Expensive in State

Spending in the race for California’s superintendent of public instruction is three times the spending in the race for governor, according to recent data from the California Secretary of State site. The race is also the most expensive state superintendent race since at least 2002, the earliest race for which online campaign finance data is available.
