Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will assume the post as head of the 100-year-old public policy research center on Sept. 1. Rice, currently the Denning Professor in Global Business at the Graduate School of Business and the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on public policy at the Hoover Institution, and a former Stanford provost, will be Hoover's next director, Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne announced.
