Viewpoint Diversity One Commencement Address at a Time

When it comes to college commencements, graduates often struggle to remember who spoke or the advice given, unless the speaker was a prominent figure or delivered a memorable speech. In 2006, Dr. Condoleezza Rice addressed my graduating class at Boston College. Her selection sparked controversy due to her association with the Iraq War. Personally, I was thrilled that one of my heroes would guide me into the world of public policy as I crossed the academic threshold.
