It may shock you, as it did me, to learn that in both 2022 and 2023, the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression’s College Free Speech Rankings report, which surveys students’ perceptions of tolerance for free speech on college campuses across the United States, ranked Columbia dead last out of the 203 institutions evaluated.
