There's been a veritable boom in civil-dialogue projects at colleges. One longtime researcher in the field estimated that among the more than 500 organizations in the ListenFirst Coalition, which work to bridge divides in the general public as well as among college students, perhaps 90 percent had been formed in the last decade.
